Mr. Sandeep Batra

Mr Sandeep Batra is the Chairman of ICICI Bank UK PLC.He has been working with the ICICI Group for the last 18 years and is currently President – Corporate Centre at ICICI Bank Limited.

 

As President – Corporate Centre Mr. Batra oversees the risk, internal audit, financial crime prevention, government relations, compliance, secretarial, and corporate communication functions at ICICI Bank Limited. He is also on the boards of several ICICI Group companies like ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd, ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Ltd, ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Limited and ICICI Bank UK.

 

Mr. Batra has been a founder member of the ICICI Prudential Life Insurance team and has worked with the organisation as its Chief Financial Officer from September 2000 to 2006 till he joined ICICI Bank Limited as its Group Compliance Officer.

 

Mr. Batra re-joined ICICI Prudential Life Insurance as its Executive Director and a member of its board in 2014. At ICICI Prudential Life Insurance he oversaw the finance, investments, actuarial, and risk and compliance functions. He was also instrumental in leading the company to India’s first IPO in the insurance space.

 

Mr. Batra is a Chartered Accountant (1987) and a Company Secretary (1993).

 

Mr. Sriram H. Iyer

Mr. Sriram H. Iyer is the President and Chief Executive Officer of ICICI Bank Canada, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ICICI Bank Limited, India’s largest private sector bank.  He is also the Regional Head of ICICI Bank’s North American, Middle Eastern and African operations. Additionally, he oversees the Bank’s global remittance businesses.

 

Mr. Iyer was a core member of the executive team that established ICICI Bank in Canada in 2003.  Under his leadership, the Bank has become one of the fastest growing banks in Canada.

 

Prior to his current role, Mr. Iyer held a number of key executive positions including Vice President of Strategy Implementation, and Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In these roles, he oversaw the development of the Bank’s retail and electronic banking operations.

 

Mr. Iyer’s long and distinguished business career spans more than 20 years, two continents and several progressive senior management positions.  Before joining ICICI Bank Canada, he gained valuable strategic and operations experience in the financial services industry working with the parent company in India.

 

Mr. Iyer actively supports a number of business and not-for-profit organizations. He serves on a number of boards including Brock University, CNIB Foundation (formerly Canadian National Institute of the Blind), Toronto Global, the Canada-India Business Council and the Canada Institute Advisory Board of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

 

Mr. Iyer is also a member of the Foreign Banks’ Executive Committee of the Canadian Bankers Association and the National Council of the C.D. Howe Institute, whose goal is to raise living standards by fostering economically sound public policies, among other reputable organizations. Mr. Iyer previously served for six years on the Board of Directors of the Conference Board of Canada, the country’s foremost not-for-profit organization for applied research.

 

Under Mr. Iyer’s direction, ICICI Bank Canada has contributed to many charitable causes. The Bank was recognized by the Canadian Helen Keller Centre in 2009 and the Canadian Foundation for Physically Disabled Persons in 2011 for its ongoing support for persons living with disabilities.

 

In 2012, Mr. Iyer received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his contributions to Canada. The Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce named him the 2012 Corporate Executive of the Year for his business achievements and contributions to the community. In 2008, Caldwell Partners named Mr. Iyer to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40TM list, recognizing him as one of the country’s top leaders under the age of 40.

 

Mr. Iyer holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.  He is also a certified corporate director and has completed the Directors Education Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Mr. Loknath Mishra

Mr. Loknath Mishra is the Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Bank UK PLC.

 

Mr. Mishra has been with the ICICI Bank for over 22 years and has extensive experience in corporate and transaction banking services. Most recently, he provided leadership to a large team managing relationships with some of the largest corporate clients in India. Prior to that, he was responsible for transaction banking domestically and internationally at ICICI Bank Limited, where he oversaw the development and launch of some industry leading digital and technological trade platforms. Mr. Mishra also has experience of leading the structured finance, capital market and custody business of ICICI Bank Limited.

 

Mr. Mishra has an MBA (Finance) and is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).

 

Mr. John Burbidge

Mr. John Burbidge retired as Chief Executive of the UK Capital Markets business of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) on July 31, 2011 after successful 27 years in UK Banking Industry. Mr. Burbidge holds a Bachelors degree in Maths & Economics from York University and is a Chartered Accountant.

 

He has served as a member of RBC’s Global Operating and Capital Markets Committees. He presided over transformational growth, leading and developing people whilst maintaining excellent working relationships with the internal and external stakeholders. This translated into sound financial performance under his leadership, notably through the financial crisis and the subsequent recession. In addition to his well diversified UK experience in RBC, he also has international experience with responsibility for the Asian investment banking operations.

 

He has served on the Board of CLS Holding for four years and with Bluebay Asset Management as Non Executive Director. He is married and has a son and a daughter.

Mr. Huw Morgan

Mr. Huw Morgan is an FCIB banker who spent some 25 years with HSBC plc- latterly as Head of Business banking. Prior to this he held a variety of roles including Relationship Director in Midland Montagu Corporate Banking , Head of Operations on the acquisition of Mid-Med bank in Malta and ,more recently, Regional Director for Wales and the South West responsible for the Retail branch network and Corporate and Commercial banking businesses. Mr Morgan is the Senior Independent Director for Finance Wales, he Chairs Help me Compare Ltd and also sits on the board as an NED for Inspiretec Ltd. He also sits on the board of the Financial and Professional Services Panel for Wales and the Cardiff Central Enterprise Zone. Both these organisations seek to increase business development Wales. Mr. Morgan holds an MPhil in Economics from Aberystwyth University and he now sits on the University´s development board.

Sir Alan Collins, KCVO CMG

Sir Alan, who is a career diplomat, led the work on the business outcomes from the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics Games as Managing Director for Olympic Legacy in United Kingdom Trade and Investment.

 

Sir Alan was Consul-General, New York and Director-General, Trade & Investment USA from 2007 to 2011. He was responsible for British political relations in one of the most important cities in the world, and for the nine trade and investment teams across the US whose job is to promote British business.

 

From 2003 to 2006, Sir Alan was British High Commissioner to Singapore where he was heavily involved with London's winning bid for the 2012 Olympics and Her Majesty the Queen's State Visit.

 

He was seconded to Shell in 2002 as Vice President for International Relations responsible for the company's global relationships with governments.

 

Earlier, Sir Alan was the British Ambassador in the Philippines. He has also been the Head of the British Trade and Cultural Office in Taipei. Sir Alan has served in a variety of jobs in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London and as Deputy Ambassador to Ethiopia.

 

Sir Alan is a non-Executive Director of Prudential Assurance Company Singapore Pte Ltd, Prudential Hong Kong Ltd, Prudential General Hong Kong Ltd and JP Morgan American Investment Trust plc. He is an advisor to a number of companies including, St James’s Place plc, and on the Advisory Council of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

 

Sir Alan was educated at Strand Grammar School and the London School of Economics. He is a member of the MCC, the Royal Overseas League and the Royal Commonwealth Society and is a Freeman of the City of London.
